It’s Thanksgiving week, and lots of people are out and about. We were lucky to get a table. Lots of talk about our plans to get together for Thanksgiving. It’s a beautiful time when our extended family and Charlie’s family gather to give thanks, catch up on life, and just enjoy everyone’s company. Brittany will be hosting again this year. She plays hostess so well. After happy hour, Terry and Brittany plan to go shopping for groceries for the festivities on Thursday. The Isles has a historical ambiance, located in a historic part of town, Havelock. Back in the day, it was a small town that Lincoln swallowed up. Lots of hustle and bustle going on around us, with everyone making plans for the holiday, a birthday celebration, and, of course, regulars up at the bar.

For apps, we ordered my newest favorite, fried pickles, and Brittany’s favorite, jalapeño poppers. The fried pickles were okay, still not as good as the first time I had them. I forgot the name of the place. And of course, we had to order a pizza, which they do best. We ordered the infamous Leaning Tower of Inferno, which includes: a medium-to-thin crust baked golden brown, hamburger, pepperoni, pepperoncini, and onion. Their flavorful signature sauce and secret seasoning are baked right on top, incorporating spicy jalapeños and rich cream cheese. This pizza is amazing, so flavorful. The jalapeños were a little much for me, but it was so good I ate it anyway. Drinks included Michelob Ultra drafts, and I had a Bailey’s and coffee. All were okay. I liked how they let you add the Baileys to your coffee rather than pouring it themselves.

Our rating for this restaurant: Food 5/5, Beverages 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 and service even though busy was a 5/5 leaving The Isles with an overallk 5/5 rating. A historical pizza place I know we’ll visit again.
