Hop Cat Gathering with the Girls

This week’s outing was particularly special as my mom, Jan, returned from Arizona and was able to join our group for the evening. Having her back made the night even more enjoyable, and the timing couldn’t have been better. Just in time for girls night. She told me in the beginning, these Mondays are priority, they are very important that the 4 of us meet once a week, for many reasons, our sanity for one. But to keep the closeness of the family. My mom is 84, and I find spending time with family has become more important to her, and to me.
Happy hour specials included ½ apps, $4 drafts, and $6 wines, mules, and meowgaritas. Eric was our server, and the atmosphere was very nice and relaxing.
For drinks, I initially ordered a Brambleberry, which consisted of Bourbon, blackberry-basil syrup, lemon juice, and peach bitters. I’d have to say a hard no to this drink. But Eric was nice enough to replace it with a Mimosa instead, which was not bad. Mom and Terri both ordered a blood orange beer; Britt got a Kinkade Snozeberry, both of which were very good. Even I liked them, and I’m not a beer kind of girl.
For apps, we ordered the Loaded Cosmic Fries, crispy Brussels sprouts (which were like chips), and space curds. Terry and Britt also shared a chicken wrap, and Jan had a cup of Basil Tomato Soup. All of the food was really awesome and very flavorful.
Our rating for this restaurant includes Food & Service as a hard 5/5. Beverages and ambience were a 4/5, but our overall rating, despite the two 4/5, was a 5/5. We would definitely return here again in the future..
